Our Environment

We work hard to ensure that all our papers and boards are produced using the most environmental processes as possible minimising all waste products and pollution. Our efforts are recognised by our FSC Certification and ISO credentials.

As a nation, China has been working hard over the past few decades to take better care of our environment.

China designated March 12 as National Tree Planting Day in 1979 and launched a nationwide voluntary tree-planting campaign in 1981. From 1982 to 2021, Chinese citizens voluntarily planted approximately 78.1 billion trees across the vast country.

After decades of afforestation, China has created the world's largest planted forests, with its forest coverage rate more than doubling from 12% in the early 1980s to over 20% percent in 2022.

Under a long-term plan, China expects to increase its forest coverage rate to 26% by 2035. By then, China's forest stock will rise to 21 billion cubic meters, and the area of natural forests will be kept at about 200 million hectares.

China had installed 365 GW of wind power capacity and 392 GW of solar capacity by the end of 2022 year - about a third of the world's total. This is expected to top 500 GW by the end of 2023 with a goal of boosting the country's capacity of wind and solar power to more than 1,200 GW by 2030.
